I’m attempting to test the PayPal and Stripe functionality.

When testing Stripe in what’s supposed to be sandbox mode, and using a test card number, I get a message saying “Your card was declined. Your request was in live mode, but used a known test card.” I’ve checked several times that the toggle says “Test” for the form, and that the form has been updated.

Then I tried doing a live transaction for a small dollar amount. When I attempt that, I get “An error has occurred with the form submission. Please try again.”

I’ve also tried configuring PayPal. However, I keep getting a message saying that there is something wrong with the sandbox key (which I’ve checked and rechecked). Also, does the app allow me to enter just a sandbox key pair or must both the live and sandbox key pairs be provided for the form to save. I tried it both ways, but no luck.

I’m not new to working with these payment APIs, and as far as I can tell I’m doing everything right. Any pointers?

The stripe issue may be a plugin conflict (worked on another site with fewer plugins configured). However, I’m still seeing the issue with it not accepting my PayPal credentials.

    Hi @davidfcarr,

Glad to hear you have figured out the issue with Stripe. Regarding PayPal, you’ll need to enter both Live and Sandbox key pairs in order for the plugin to authorize it.

Could we know what exact error you are noticing, so that we could have a better idea? I’m assuming the issue is connecting and Authorizing PayPal under Forminator > Settings > Payments and not within the form.

Did you try creating a new Sandbox Key via the following URL and see whether creating a new one works?:
    https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications

Please check the following screenshot to double-check whether this is how you have created the app:

If you are still facing issues even after that then please do share a screenshot regarding the error you get so that we check further if needed.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,
