Payment method change not possible

We have a lot of customers with failed Billie payments and it should be possible to change the payment method, at least.
I tested that: Choose Billie, submit order, get redirected to Billie payment page. I click on “Back” button, see the checkout of the shop for a second with the error “payment failed, choose another method” and get immediately redirected to the same Billie page again.
It should stay on the checkout page and allow the customer to select a different payment method.
