    Hello.

I would like to submit a suggestion for improvement.

We use WooCommerce with WPML and have noticed that the languages of the Klarna payment methods in the checkout are sometimes incorrect/unexpected.

Specifically, it’s about the title of the payment method.

    • Pay now, pay later
    • Pay now
    • Monthly financing

And if one of the Klarna methods is selected in the checkout, additional details will be displayed.
These texts are also all affected.

    Example:

    • Frontend language = DE, selected delivery country in checkout = AT: Klarna payment methods show English text (expected: German text)
    • Frontend language = FR, Selected delivery country in checkout = DE: Klarna payment methods show German text (expected: French text)

    Example image:

We want the “Klarna language” to follow the frontend language of our shop.

Could you discuss the whole thing with your developers and integrate it into one of the next plugin updates?

    Hi,

?The Billing country needs to match the site language/locale for the Klarna Payments iframe to be visible in the site language, otherwise the fallback language is set in the Klarna Payments iframe which is English. It is unfortunately not possible to change this behavior. You need to make sure the site locale is the same as the selected country locale.

Please also note the list of supported locales for Klarna Payments documented at:?https://docs.klarna.com/klarna-payments/in-depth-knowledge/puchase-countries-currencies-locales/#locale

We also have a code snippet that forces the locale to a specific country and language, you can read more about it here.

Closing, as hopefully resolved per the last comment, but if further support is needed, please let us know.

I’m not sure what the billing address/country has to do with the users’ language.
    But good.
    Apparently we can’t change it.
If it cannot be changed, then the ticket can be closed.

    Thanks for the support.
