Payment methods not reporting correct totals: wallet plus credit card

Our sites use Wallet as a points system. The user is defaulted to use points for all purchases. However, when the item cost exceeds wallet balance the user is prompted to use a credit card. Everything works fine until you try to pull an orders report and calculate transactions totals.

All orders using both wallet and credit card show only the credit card charges as the Order Total. The wallet debit is shown as a negative number and not reported in the Order Total. Is there a better way to do this so we can use order reports to get totals?
