On the website, we have a flat rate shipping with a value of 2.42EUR without VAT. VAT (20%) is set correctly as it is added in the checkout so the final shipping price is 2.90EUR if user pays by standard payment method.
When clicking Pay now, no matter if in single product, shopping cart or checkout, it always adds 2.42EUR, not 2.42 + 20% which is 2.90EUR.

    Hi there!

That’s pretty odd! Especially if it only happens when placing the order with Stripe…

Have you tried to disable all your plugins (except WooCommerce and Stripe) to see if the issue persists? If it’s solved, it means that one of these deactivated plugins was generating a conflict with WooCommerce/Stripe. Enabling them one by one again and repeat the test will help you find the culprit!

Of course, check as well that you’re using the latest version of WooCommerce and Stripe plugins!

Let us know if the issue persists!

    Thanks

    Hi,

I tried with all plugins disabled but this looks more like a specific issue with Payment Request buttons (not sure)

Here is a screenshot from my phone, so there is a Cart summary, Shipping (UPS) in frame, Cart total underlined and the modal from Stripe Payment Request that shows the Cart total correctly but the shipping is without VAT

    Thanks for your help

    Hey there @morvy

Do you have a link where we can test this out, please? I haven’t 100% been able to replicate this.

There are two other active threads where similar scenarios are happening.

This thread sounds identical to your scenario https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/apple-pay-not-working-correctly/#post-11987585

And this thread, I wasn’t able to replicate this. Whenever I tested, the tax was applied as appropriate – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/chrome-pay-shipping-costs-with-taxes/#post-11990420

Can you let us know which plugin you’re using for UPS please so we can try to replicate this?

If you add other taxable shipping rates, is the tax passed to the Payment Request button?

Also, can you confirm in the product data setting if the Shipping for that product has been selected as Taxable, please? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/#general-section

Edit to add – are you able to test this using our default Storefront theme, please?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

yes those 2 threads look very similar.

I switched to Storefront with no change in results.

Shipping is Flat Rate Shipping built in WooCommerce, price set to 2.4167, Taxable.
Tax is set correctly, because it works everywhere else. (* * * * 20.0000 DPH 1 false true)

If you check the screenshot, the Cart total is correct, Tax is correct, but Shipping is only displayed without tax, because shipping’s tax is correctly calculated and added to Cart total.

In these screenshots you can see the Cart total is equal, tax is equal but Shipping is different

    Hi again @morvy

That is very odd – the total is correct but the pre-tax shipping is showing like in this one – https://ibb.co/f9q0Zgx

Would you be able to contact us via the support form here, please – https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ ?

We’ll need to go through all the settings to see if we can replicate this or if something is causing this specifically to your site.

When you reach out, link us back to this thread.

    Thanks,

    Hi there @morvy,

I see that Doug has asked you to open a ticket with so please do so if you haven’t yet ??

Meanwhile, I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
