Hi Aerin, I like your plugin, its great to be able to have a background image too. BUT there is one BUG: I tested the system, made a test paymentand paid myself 10 cents, which all works fine, I got the money, and the messages from Paypal etc. BUT when I made another test payment, and did NOT follow through, when I got to the PayPal page I simply Canceled, the amount and message was showing up in the ADMIN “payments” section on WordPress, not in paypal of course. but on the Admin panel. Now, if there are hundreds of people doing this it can get messy.. is there a way to disable these messages if a payment does not happen? Please advise, Groggo

  • This has been an issue for a while that I’m not sure how to fix.

Once the form data has been sent off to paypal the plugin has finished and shuts down.

In order to only add the payment details to the list once payment has been made I need to add some tracking codes. This is something I haven’t done before and is getting a bit complicated. But I am trying to fix this.

Thanks for your fast reply! Understand. Not a worry, I can just delete them, I know when I get a real payment I get my PayPal emails, and to add tracking this might make it harder to simply use your email address as often PayPal requires us to use an API code, and they only come with a business account… so thanks again for what you have provided! Appreciate it.

I’ve had another look at the tracking and it’s only really an option if you are using the API. There isn’t a tracking variable in the HTNL form (which is what the plugin uses).

What I will be adding is a way to sort and manage the payment tables so you can delete the non-payers before downloading the CSV.

Thanks Aerin, I know payPal needs an API code for the advanced featues. For now your’s works fine, I can just ignore the non payers, as I really use my PayPal account to manage Payments, and they only show the Paid items.. cheers, Groggo

    Groggo,
The updated plugin now has the option to use queries in the URL. Which means you can send emails to people with the payment reference and amount already set. Less hassle for the payee.
