    Hi!

We are creating a new ecommerce for our resellers. We want the only payment solution to be billing, via woocommerce own checkout. Is the right option then “pay by delivery”?

Does this option mean that a bill will be created and sent to the buyer right away?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for reaching out!

I apologize as I don’t quite understand what do you mean by billing here? If you could provide further information about your end goal here or what are you trying to achieve on your site so that we could address you more effectively?

Does this option mean that a bill will be created and sent to the buyer right away?

If you are referring to the built-in Cash on Delivery, once the customers placed an order on your site and selected the payment gateway, WooCommerce will then send the Order Confirmation Email that looks like this:

This will serve as the bill for your customers about their order.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello!

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am referring to the payment option Cash on delivery. Is it possible for me to use this option as “invoice payment instead”. Maybe I can just change the headline, description and instructions to be called something like “invoice”?

Will that work? How do I make sure Woocommerce creates an invoice and sends it to a customer?

    Hi @isabella92 ,

I see you have this topic open where a similar question was asked.

Since that one has already been marked as resolved, we can continue support on this thread.

Well this is a possibly, it would require your sales to be a lot more manual, rather than automatic changes.

WooCommerce core does not automatically create and send invoices to customers.

From what you have described wanting to implement with regard to your payments, I would recommend the Invoice Payment Option, as mentioned in the previous thread here??

If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to reach out to us here.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello!

Yes, sorry I accidentally asked the same question in two places.

The plugin you suggested sounds like a nice option, thank you.

However, after talking to co-workers I now realize we want to send the invoice ourselves, from our own business system called Visma. We have set up a connection between Woocommerce and Visma, so this shouldn’t be too difficult to solve I think.

Question is, do I still need to download the plugin you suggested or can I just rename the option called “cash on delivery”?

    Hi @isabella92

Thank you for sharing with us your end goal here.

I understand that you would like to send the invoice manually thru the business system called Visma and you would like to know if the premium plugin Invoice Payment Option is still necessary or if you can just rename the built-in payment gateway Cash on Delivery to Invoice Payment or something like that, correct?

While I am unsure how the business system called Visma works, you can try either of those options above.

The premium plugin Invoice Payment Option will be a good alternative since it allows your customers to select the invoice payment option during checkout to place orders, it is still up to you what suits your requirement.

Did you know that if you want to try our products, it comes with a 30-day refund policy? If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to offer a full refund. You can read more about our refund policy on our website here.

Meanwhile, you can also rename the built-in payment gateway Cash on Delivery to Invoice Payment by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Cash on Delivery > Title.

You can also alter the Description field that would be displayed on your site’s checkout page as seen below:

    Hope this helps!

I tried renaming the cash on delivery to the right payment solution in Visma and this worked! Thank you ??

    Hi @isabella92 ,

Glad to know you were able to sorted it out, I am going to mark this ticket as resolved, if you have any new questions, please create a new ticket.

    Cheers!
