Payment status pending instead of in progress

Dear PlugIn-Support,
we have a new vendor store. For this vendor store the incoming sales orders with payment method = Paypal have payment status ‘outstanding payment’ instead of ‘in progress’. The Paypal payment has been successfull – so our vendor has received the money. We suspect that the return transfer from Paypal to WCFM does not work correctly.
We already checked Paypal Log but didn’t see anything unusual. Can you tell us how we can analyze this case best?
