• Hi. I just installed the plugin, and configured Paypal, but I am not sure about how it will work with new subscribers.
When i test the transaction with Paypal Sandbox, everything goes okay, but the user’s payment status is “Deactivated”. Is this just for the test environment, or is necessary to approve every Paypal payment inside system before user gets access to premium content?

In order for the subscriber to be activated in Leaky Paywall, your site must receive an IPN response from PayPal. If you are on a local server for testing, then you won’t get the IPN response. Once the site is on a live URL, then you should get the IPN response that will activate the subscriber.

Hi, @endocreative, thank you. I’ve configurated the IPN response into Paypal. But now there’s another problem.
I’m using the sandbox personal account to pay and creating some users to test the platform, what seems to work as expected, but at the end of transaction, when I click in the Paypal button to come back to the site, the system create another user with the paypal test email that is different from the email that is already registered through the form.
So I’m thinking: if the user have different email in paypal the system will create two different users?

Hi Jeremy. I tried everything, including making a real payment in the live version and the system is still creating two accounts when the register form email is different from the PayPal acount email. Am I doing anything wrong?
I configurated everything in the Payments tab with the info about the live version and sandbox. In my paypal account I configurated the IPN Notification to the URL indicated.
Evey test that I do, the system create one user to the email that I put into the registration form and another user to the PayPal’s test email.

Hello. We are doing some testing on our end to see if we can recreate this issue. I’ll send an update as soon as we have one.

Hi Jeremy. Do you have any update about this case? The system is still creating two users if the Paypal’s email is different from form. I’m from Brazil and Stripe isn’t available here yet, so our only option here is Paypal. I’m just trying to solve this issue for buying other modules.
