Payments Failing & Not Recorded In Stripe Account

    Hi,

    I’ve started to get some failed orders on a clients website.

    The orders that are failing seem to be random and do not have anything in common (different products, values, customers, etc) but they are not showing as failed by Stripe, which is the only payment gateway that is set up.
    This makes me think that some payments are not being handled correctly.

    I’m using WooCommerce 5.5.2 and Stripe Payment Gateway 5.3.0

    Are you aware of any reason why an purchase would fail?

    I turned on error logging and this appeared in the log file for a failed payment…

    Thanks for the logs and the status report. I don’t see anything stand out that could cause an issue here. Do you see any other errors on the site when a failed order shows up on the site?     Hi @wpcork,

    Looks like the Fatals are coming from Caldera Forms, Divi theme. Are you able to disable this plugin (Temporarily for a few days) and switch to a different theme and check if that fixes the issues?

    Do keep us posted on how this troubleshooting works out for you.

    Hi @wpcork ,

    What about the WooCommerce error..

    We’re not able to replicate the errors on our test sites running the latest version of WooCommerce with the default theme. Conflict from other plugins and themes may cause WooCommerce to throw errors though.

    I’d recommend checking by disabling Caldera Forms and switching the theme to a default theme like Storefront Theme and then see if the errors persist.

    If the errors still persists, then I recommend conducting a conflict test per the steps outlined here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

    Hi,

    I’ve made three changes that appear to have fixed the issue and over the next week or so I’ll be able to test which one is causing the issue…

    1. I rolled back WooCommerce from 5.6.0 to 5.5.2
    2. I rolled back WC Stripe Gateway from 5.4.0 to 4.4.0
    3. I rolled back Cartflows plugin from 1.7.0 to 1.5.10

    These were the versions that were in place a week before the failed payments issue started to appear.

    Testing will take a while as I’ll need to change each plugin individually and I’ll post an update here if I find which plugin is causing the issue.

    I’ve rules out 1 of the three possible causes (WooCommerce 5.6.0) and I’ll be checking the other two next week, so if you don’t mind I’d like to keep this open for another few days.

    Hi,

    I’ve found that it seemsto be Cartflows that is causing the issue, as I’ve tried updating each plugin individually and it only fails when I go above version 1.5.10 of Cartflows.

    I’ve reached out the developers and we’re going to try to clarify definatively if this is a Cartflows issue or not.

    That rules out the WC Stripe Gateway, so I’m going to close this topic now.
