We use the Woocommerce payment interface to collect payment on subscriptions which are integrated with products. However, the account page for upgrading and downgrading requires Stripe. We are unable to turn off Stripe in the PMS settings. How can we do taht and process a subscription change through our Woo payment system?

    Hi @markburgess,

You can’t turn off Stripe as a payment gateway in the Paid Member Subscriptions settings, since there always needs to be a payment method active, and Stripe is the default one. You can either let Stripe active or activate the Manual/Offline payment method and make this the only one active.

Now, since you mentioned you’re using the WooCommerce integration and you wish that also the subscription change process to be processed with this integration (while using a WooCommerce payment method), then you can go to Paid Member Subscriptions -> Settings -> Misc -> Payments -> and from there you can disable the Change button from appearing on the PMS Account form. I’m mentioning this since the Change functionality that appears on our form (PMS Account), is strictly related to our payment gateways and not the ones from WooCommerce.

If a user wishes to simply change their subscription plan, then they can purchase a different WooCommerce product (from the Woo Shop) which has attached to it a different PMS subscription plan. If they purchase this new product, once the order has been successfully completed, then they will also have the new PMS membership attached to their account, of course with a new start and expiration date based on this new plan.

Note: I recommand testing the above on a staging/testing site first to see exactly how it works (and if it works as desired).
