    WooCommerce version: 7.6.1
    WooCommerce Paypal Payouts version: 2.7

We purchased a plugin called WooCommerce Paypal Payouts by Fantastic Plugins, to make payouts to employees based on the products that are bought on the website. Payment goes to the admin Paypal account and from there payouts are made to the employee(s) based on the product(s) that were bought. This worked until recently. Now we are still receiving payments for products that are bought, but the payouts do not go through.

We have received the following error messages for failed payouts:

    What we tried:

    • We have already contacted Paypal and have payouts enabled on the admin account.
    • The API credentials are correct as its has not changed from the time that the payouts were working and payments for products use the same API credentials as the payouts. ! We have tried swapping API credentials with different apps on the admin paypal account, to no avail.
    • The plugin is setup so that the payout is made after the product has been bought, so the admin account always has enough money to make the payout.

    What is expected:

The payouts should be made to employees automatically after a product(s) are bought on the site.

    Actual result:

After a product(s) is purchased, the money is sent to the admin’s Paypal account. From there a payout is supposed to be made to the employee(s) Paypal accounts, but the payouts fail with the error messages listed above.

  • Hello,

I understand the Payouts are not working as expected.

Please note, Payouts is not a feature included by default in WooCommerce Core, also, we are unable to provide support for third party plugins like the WooCommerce Paypal Payouts by Fantastic Plugins.

I recommend to reach out to the support of the plugin mentioned above, so that they can provide you with more information. If you have any questions after that, feel free to let us know.

Note: As an alternative solution, I recommend you to check if this premium extension works for you: Affiliate For WooCommerce, it will permit to pay commissions, more information is in this documentation:

    https://woocommerce.com/document/affiliate-for-woocommerce/how-to-payout-commissions-in-affiliate-for-woocommerce/

If you have any pre-sales questions, feel free to ask them here:

    Kind regards.

We have already contacted their support, with little luck though. Thank you for the suggestion. We will look into affiliate for woocommerce.

    Hi,

    That’s a good point.

I forgot to mention that our premium extensions, like the Affiliate For WooCommerce, includes a 30-days refund policy, (no questions asked).

This is in case the product doesn’t work according to your needs, you can read more about our refund policy on our website here: https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/

    I hope this helps.

Is there a way to allow payments for products to go to different paypal accounts?
Think of payouts, but without the payment first going to a central account, instead the payment for the product goes directly to the paypal account linked to that product?

    Hi @ruanh

I understand that you’re looking for a solution that bypasses a central account and sends the payment straight to the PayPal account associated with each product.

While the default WooCommerce PayPal integration doesn’t support this functionality, I did some research and found that this is possible thru Paypal Payouts that can send money to multiple vendors at once. They’ll get it in their PayPal or Venmo account.

To learn more about Paypal Payouts, please refer to this link: https://www.paypal.com/merchantapps/appcenter/makepayments/payouts

    Hope this helps!
