Hello @atthu
thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.
There are multiple reasons why this could happen and without logs, a system report and a URL we can’t say anything with certainty.
Let me tell you some options:
– it could be that an older web browser is used and that this causes the issue. Try some other browsers and see if it changes. We are working on improving this for our next release.
– It could be there is a plugin conflict. You may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists. Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts. These are the most common ones that can cause this. Please check if any of them help you resolve the issue. If you need our continued support but don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well).Kind regards,
Joost@joostvandevijver hey, it’s showing this error ‘Could not retrieve order.’
Somehow the button is showing bt orders are getting failed.Hello @atthu
I would expect that it shows you the WooCommerce button (Place Order) and not the generic PayPal button, correct?
The PayPal payment function requires the PayPal button in order to function, so this would be an issue. There is a JavaScript running that is replacing the WooCommerce button with the PayPal button. This JS is being blocked and thus the payments are failing. Please confirm this expectation. Can you still provide us with some more details?
Kind regards,
JoostHello @atthu
I see you are using the Checkout Field Editor plugin. We cannot check what version you are using but would expect that you did not yet update it to the latest version. Please try that and see if that resolves your problem.
Kind regards,
JoostIt’s not working. Updated both.
Paypal: Version 1.9.3
Checkout Field Editor: Version 1.7.2here is logged error : OrderEndpoint.php:459

Hello @atthu
we are working on some different issue that is causing this error. With release 1.9.3 we fixed an issue that was causing this error to occur when merchants had the plugin “SiteGround Optizer” active that was causing issues with the JavaScript processes that our plugin requires. Now we found out that that same error is occurring with other optimizer plugins and older web browsers. For the web browsers we have create a new package that you can test and see if that resolves the issue for you. The package can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
Please let us know if this improves the situation. This is the only additional option we can offer at this moment, but we are still working hard on this. Feedback will be very much appreciated!
Kind regards,
JoostHello,
If you are still experiencing this issue, it could also be caused by a browser compatibility issue. In our next release we have improved the browser compatibility and this should resolve most of the issues related to this error. You can currently test our beta release, and the official release (1.9.4) should be published within 2 weeks (depending on testing going as planned).
I will mark this thread as resolved, but please don’t hesitate to open a new thread if the issue persists after our release.
Kind regards,
Joost -
