Paypal Button Not Working on Static Page

I created a page with a short message and added the papal button code at the end of the post. The button is visible when I view the site but I get an error message when I click it. “we were unable to decrypt the certificate id”. Any suggestions? I looked at some other threads but didn’t find any that put the button on the post of a static page.
