Hello, I just installed your plugin and it seems to work except the button on the checkout page is up in the header and is not where it should normally be (with the checkout choices i.e. cheque, money order, etc.). I am using the Flatsome template from themeforest. How do I change where the button on the checkout page goes? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The current placement of the button is intended to be at the top of the checkout page. One of the primary benefits of Express Checkout is that your buyers do not have to fill out the checkout forms. This saves them time, and generally increases conversion rates on your website.

That said, you’re not the only one that’s been asking about this. As such, I have already updated the plugin in my development environment to include a new option so that you can show the EC button at the top of checkout like it is now, at the bottom (or wherever the general payment options are displayed on your theme), or both.

It is not yet released as an official version update, but it is available on the dev branch of the GitHub repo if you want to grab it early. When you go to that page there is a button for Download Zip. That will give you the version that includes this update, and in fact, as of right now that’s the only new feature that’s been included, so it’s basically the current 1.1.5 version plus this one thing. You can just upload the plugin manually as opposed to updating automatically within WordPress and then you’ll have what you’re looking for.

Thank you for the quick response. That is great news. I’ll definitely check out the dev branch. Is the dev branch ready for a live site or should I wait till the official version is released before going live. I appreciate you helping me on this matter and thanks for a great plugin.

As I said, as of right now the dev branch is essentially nothing more than the current 1.1.5 version plus this one change, which has been fully tested, so it should be good to go. I just have a lot more to do before I release the next official version.

My dev branch in general is what houses the current official release plus any closed items on the issue list. If the issue is closed it means I’ve personally tested it fully and consider it ready for release.

In general, though, I can’t guarantee that I’ve caught everything. If you do find any problems just let me know and I’ll get it on the issue list to get it resolved ASAP.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the great plugin.
I’ve installed the dev version, but “paypal express” can’t be selected as the default payment option. Any ideas?

@deezlee, Is there a specific setting in WooCommerce that you’re trying to work with? Now sure I follow what you’re trying to do..??
