PayPal Cancellation – Wrong Message

If a user cancels a PayPal payment on the Paypal page using the link “cancel and return to shop” the customer is redirected to the standard order confirmation page that confirms the payment – although the payment was cancelled.

So the text on the page is the same for a successful payment and a cancellation. The only diffenece between the confirmation page of a successful payment and the order confirmation page of cancelled payment is that is the second case a button shows up for payment.

How can I change the text on the page, if the payment was cancelled?
