I’d move all my ecom stores over to surecart but the lack of payment providers puts me off. I really want to make the move.

Can you make it possible for PayPal to use an integrated credit/debit card form inside of the surecart checkout, as an alternative to stripe?

PayPals official woocom plugin allows this, as do many third party PayPal plugins.

Currently, your setup using PayPal gives the option for credit card and when the customer clicks this a new PayPal window open up, just like it would for them to pay with a PayPal account. It then asks the customer for their name, address for a second time (they’ve already filled this out on the store checkout) and then finally their credit/debit card details. It then also asks to create an optional PayPal account with a password.

It’s conversion killing and confusing for some. Can we please get something in place just like their official PayPal Payments plugin for woocom – a true debit/credit card form on the surecart checkout, without the need to go off site.

I realise you have stripe, but stripe is notoriously bad for taking control of your business and payouts if a few refunds or randomly chargebacks begin to increase. We can’t risk this for our business as have been bitten many times before, and many serious ecom sites would say the same.

PayPal while not perfect has been much better in this regard and choose to work with us if any problems arise.

BTW, I realise the reason for not allowing other payment providers is all relating to your one click upsells. You should have a look at CheckoutWC and how they are doing it – they do not charge customers until they have seen the post purchase upsell – which allows for any payment provider to work with this – it’s a clever way around it – maybe surecart could implement similar as an option? I don’t know…

    Hi There!

We do have plans to enhance our PayPal integration to use inline credit card fields. However, I don’t yet have a timeline for that. We are currently focused on increasing the customizability, flexibility with page builders, removing shadow dom and using a custom post type.

Any other questions, let me know.

I am also thinking about switching from Woocommerce to SureCart, but I found this obstacle. I hope that the SureCart team will add this feature to the Paypal payment method.
