My GiveWP Paypal Settings says ‘Paypal Connected’ and APIs connected and there are no error messages. I am using Paypal Donations as the Payment Gateway for the form: https://sohopefl.org/donations/donation-form/ We also use Paypal on this same website through Event Espresso and Paypal Donation buttons all the time and everything works fine.

When you use the form and try to pay with Credit card, you and then sent to a blank page with no error messages – and no Donation is created and no emails are sent. If you use the SAME form and say Test Payment, the correct thank you shows, the donation is saved and emails are sent.

Am I missing something? I was excited to use this plugin and I am trying to talk my client into buying some add-ons for recurring payments but we can’t even get it to work with the basic, free portion.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @wendiwest,

I’m glad you reached out, here. We definitely want to get to the bottom of this. I made a quick screencast showing you what I see, here. https://somup.com/cYXQrcIU2U

The root issue is that the multi-step form template is not living up to its name, and is displaying all the steps as one big blob! So we need to isolate what’s causing that and then be able to work toward resolving it.

Before the steps I gave in the screencast there, I’d be interested in this as a troubleshooting step: create a new form with no customizations at all (Add new form, give it a name, select Multi-Step template, and publish) and see if that form is also displaying incorrectly. That will rule out some misconfiguration on that individual form.

We’re happy to keep digging, here!

Hi Ben! Thank you so much for your prompt and detailed response. . .

The credit card / paypal processing will not work with Multi-step form and I can’t seem to get Multi step form to work correctly. This site is using the Divi theme and is always kept up to date. I am not using any strange plugins but this is a live site and I do not have a staging server available to disable plugins. They are all kept up to date and pretty standard.

Active Plugins – Akismet Anti-Spam, Disable gutenberg, Duplicate Page, Elegent Themes secuirty patch, Elegant themes updater, Event Espresso, Favicon, Give, Jetpack, NextGen Gallery, PDF Embedder, Really Simple SSL, SG Optimizer, UberMenu, UpdraftPlus, Wordfence, Yoast.

SOOOOO – reading through my plugins, I decided NexGen gallery was probably the culprit and I was correct! When de-activating that, your multi-form works just fine. So now I need to create my photo galleries another way if I want to use this plugin. Since the galleries are live and this is not yet, I had to re-activate plugin for now.

Just letting you know which plugin was messing things up and providing you with feedback since you seem interested ?? Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

I definitely am interested! Thanks for following up! What version of the NextGen Gallery plugin are you using? I’d like to try and make our two plugins play nicely together!

Glad you got things all sorted out!

If you need anything else, please reach out!
