PayPal Error 10474

  • My store is based in USA and a customer from Bolivia is trying to make a payment – this error comes up after it’s processed.

    DoExpressCheckoutPayment API call failed.

    Error Code: 10474
    Error Severity Code: Error
    Short Error Message: Invalid Data
    Detailed Error Message: This transaction cannot be processed. The shipping country is not allowed by the buyer’s country of residence.

    Do you have logging enabled in the plugin? I would need to get a look at the API request so that I can see what value is getting sent for the shipping country code. Then I can look to see if we’re using an incorrect value, by chance, or if PayPal simply does not support that country.
