    Hi!

I’ve created a form with a Paypal button… Last year everything worked well, but now when I try to complete the payment the system doesn’t work.
It shows a message, “Error! Something went wrong when verifying the payment”.

I’ve checked my paypal account and the connection with forminator and they’re ok.
Can anyone help me to solve the problem?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello @dados91 !

I’m very sorry to hear that you’ve faced this issue!

I’ve checked the form on the page you’ve provided and I’ve got the same exact error, with some additional details in the console, most importantly: Expected an order id to be passed is the error message from PayPal.

I’ve also searched through our archives and there was one similar report of this same issue but we weren’t able to fully investigate the case.

Would you be so kind and provided us with an export of the form in question so we can check it on our end? If so, please share it using our secure contact form:

Hello Pawel and thanks for your help.
I’ve just sent a message by using the link you gave to me.
I copied the code of the form in the message because I didn’t find any button to attach the file.
    I hope it’s ok though

We are currently experiencing this problem. Was there ever a resolution? It occurs sporadically for us and we haven’t narrowed down a way to perfectly reproduce the problem. Sometimes clearing the browser cache works (we have a message requesting users to try this), other times changing the Paypal button used (Pay now vs Pay later) works. We have reCAPTCHA v3 activated and have noticed that sometimes the reCAPTCHA logo doesn’t show up when we run into the Paypal verification error. Basically pulling at straws. Any suggestions for how to approach debugging?

    Hello @jordangumm !

    I hope all is well.

On my test site the fix was to generate a new set of the keys for the PayPal integration and it started working, at least for me but not for @dados91 unfortunately. I suggested running a plugin conflict test (https://wpmudev.com/blog/wordpress-plugin-conflicts-how-to-check-for-them-and-what-to-do/) and that’s where we’re at currently.

If the steps above don’t help, please open a separate ticket and we’ll help you out there (according to the www.ads-software.com rules: https://wpmudev.com/blog/wordpress-plugin-conflicts-how-to-check-for-them-and-what-to-do/ but also because it’s easier to provide assistance this way, especially that the causes may be different).

    Kind regards,
    Pawel

I’m getting this error in my console. I have deactivated all my other plugins but that did not fix the issue. Also created a new set of API keys, that did not fix it either.

    Form is here: https://spswoodturners.org/membership-application
