Paypal error because of "un-encrypted button"

    Hey there,

    Unfortunately, I’m having a problem using this plugin. I was able to set it up just fine, but when someone tries to donate paypal says,

    The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details.

    I could change my paypal account to accept unencrypted payments, but for the sake of good security, I’d rather not do that.

    Is there any kind of fix for this?

  • Yes there is a fix. If you email me via the plugin website I will send you an update to test.

    It turns out there isn’t a solution after all. Encryption is set up in your paypal account. They provide the HTML code which you then use on your website. Trying to add this to the form fields in the plugin isn’t possible as every encryption is different.

    So closing the thread – not because it’s fixed but because there isn’t a fix
