PayPal Express Checkout

  • We have Pro and were finally approved for Reference Transactions and ran a live test. It seems to have worked but I have 2 usage questions:

    1) We used a test PayPal account without a credit card so it made it an “eCheck” … does a user who pays by eCheck have immediate access since those take time to clear?

    2) When I go to our Update Billing page with the shortcode it says “Please log in at PayPal to update your billing information.” and then shows the form anyways. If they update using that form will it switch them to direct payments? If not, can I use s2if or some type of logic to just say “Please log in at PayPal to update your billing information.” and not show the form?

    Yes, it is approved immediately. We don’t juggle with these. If you allow echecks (via your PP configuration) then s2Member will allow them through, regardless of echeck status (which can take up to 7 days).

    The form displays, but with that error message. If they don’t click the link to go to PP, and instead they click the cancel button; they will simply get the same message again.
