• I received an email notification from the Admin regarding PP Express:

    PayPal SetExpressCheckout API call failed
Detailed Error Message: A match of the Shipping Address City, State, and Postal Code failed.
Short Error Message: Shipping Address Invalid City State Postal Code
    Error Code: 10736
    Error Severity Code: Error

I received it twice in my email. What does it mean? I do have an order from a customer that used PP Express during checkout. This time, I did not receive a Pending Payment order in the Admin as I mentioned in a different post/ticket.

Looks like a checkout was attempted but the address info on the request failed. I would need to get a look at the log file to see what could be triggering this.

    Are you currently running 1.4.4?

If this is a USA address?, then the state, town and zipcode do not match Paypal’s records, and because it fails their verification it returns that error.

    @angelleye, yes I am running 1.4.4

@tarkan, yes this an address from the USA. I checked the PP account for this customer. They used someone else’s PP account to check out that shares their last name.

@rememberhim – we get that sometimes, when the customer and paypal disagree on the correct zipcode for a particular town/city name.

@rememberhim, so it sounds like it was just a unique issue and not an ongoing thing, is that right?

Here is another message that I received. Is there a way to see a list of error messages and the trigger cause?

    PayPal DoExpressCheckoutPayment API call failed
Detailed Error Message: This transaction couldn’t be completed. Please redirect your customer to PayPal.
Short Error Message: This transaction couldn’t be completed.
    Error Code: 10486
    Error Severity Code: Error

That error means that the funding method chosen by the user was invalid, so it should have redirected them back to PayPal to choose a different funding method.

I’m assuming you received that error notification in your email from the admin error notification setting..??

It’s possible that user could have gone ahead and chosen a different funding method that worked, or they could have canceled at that point.

Yes, I did receive that error notification in my email from the admin setting.

Okay, yeah, that just means the funding source chosen by the user during checkout was not valid, so it triggers that error. This is not unexpected to see these every once in a while.

    oh ok. Thanks

I am getting this message very often lately .. sometimes like 4 purchases in a row..

Also, I see that sometimes the customer is susccessful..

    PayPal DoExpressCheckoutPayment API call failed
Detailed Error Message: Payment has not been authorized by the user.
Short Error Message: Payment not authorized
    Error Code: 10485
    Error Severity Code: Error

@uberman, That’s odd. Do you have logging enabled in the plugin? We’d need to get a look at that for an idea of what could be going on here. Please submit a ticket here and provide the log file if you can.

Yes I have loging … I will send the ticket in a couple mins. thanks for the quick response..

Hi, have this issue (10486) resolved? I’m also getting the same error. Why is this happening every once in a while?
