• Hey Angelleye,

we updated this morning to the new PayPal for Woocommerce plugin and this si going on:

I have seen the Payment Action type ‘Order’ under the checkout settings for PayPal Express. We tested it and I just wondered what it exactly does. Because there is no way I can authorize the order/funds through the Woocommerce screen. And besides that there is also no documentation anywhere about ‘Order’ as a Payment type. The error we are getting is this:

PayPal DoAuthorization API call failed. ( Detailed Error Message: You do not have permissions to make this API call, Short Error Message: Authentication/Authorization Failed ) Error Code: 10002 ) Error Severity Code: Error )

And also I don’t see any capture button or any such thing on the PayPal end.

Yes, there is a lack of documentation right now. Sorry about that, but with the update of WC 2.6 we had to get this released to resolve compatibility issues. That means much of the new functionality will be without documentation until we can get caught up on that.

To use Express Checkout with orders you’ll need to get that approved and enabled on your PayPal account. You can call PayPal to get this done.

Then when you get a new order that was set as “order” you’ll be able to do authorizations / captures against that order via the Order Actions drop down on the order page in WooCommerce.

Let me know if you have any other questions after looking into that. Thanks!
