PayPal fees

    Hi,

    I was wondering if this is expected behaviour, I have a vendor in which we set the commission to a flat rate ($30). When there was an order I noticed that the paypal fees were $6.11 and I also noticed that the commission was $36.11. Are the paypal fees being added to the commission ($30 + $6.11 in this case)? If so, is it the same for orders where Stripe was used for checkout?

    You are absolutely right! Right now the PayPal standard which is used in a non-adaptive way in Dokan deducts the admin commission and the payment gateway fee from the order amount and the rest of the money is to be sent to the vendor. So, the vendor will have to pay the payment gateway fee.

    In Dokan Stripe, the payment gateway payee can be different. But as that module is not included in the Dokan lite, we are unable to discuss it in this forum as per the forum’s policy. I would suggest contacting us via our support channel if you are interested in knowing more about Dokan Stripe.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Just to clarify, as you mention, I am using the PayPal Standard gateway that comes with WooCommerce, but for Stripe I was referring to the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin from WooCommerce.

    I had a look at some previous orders where the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway was used and the Stripe fees from those transactions are not applied to commission.

    The WooCommerce Stripe and Dokan Stripe are different and those two are not interconnected. Both can operate their functionalities individually.
