    Hi,

An access to admin scripts has been disabled for security reasons on our website and now we’re unable to receive PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) on this url /wp-admin/admin-post.php?action=add_wpedon_button_ipn . Is there any way to have to have like a shortcode that we can use on a custom page to receive payment notifications?

    Regards
    Denis

Hi Denis, what happens if you enable that script again? Does our plugin work again? If it does then you might not be able to use that script with our plugin. I am not aware of a shortcode that can do what you ask.

    Kind regards

    Hi,
Yes, it did work before we had to disable REST API for security reasons. And this is what we had in our PayPal Account set as IPN url: https://[hidden domain name]/wp-admin/admin-post.php?action=add_wpedon_button_ipn
Can we use just our domain name as PayPal IPN as it described in your documentation or it should be specific REST API url? Is there any way to accept IPN on the website using different url (not REST API)?

Thanks, but it doesn’t work with just a domain name in the PayPal IPN url. Notifications won’t be registered by the plugin. Will be looking for another solution.

Hi, did you find a solution to your issue?

    Hi,
No we haven’t. It would be ideal if the plugin would use WP Rest API or a page shortcode instead of /wp-admin/admin-post.php?action=add_wpedon_button_ipn for PayPal notifications endpoint.

Hi, I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your request.

    Thank you

This plugin doesn’t use the URL that you suggested as the IPN URL. Just using your site’s homepage URL for the IPN notification is good enough. Something else must be conflicting with the plugin on this site unfortunately.
