After trying out a few plugins to collect payment I came across this one and am actually very happy, all other plugins had communication issues with paypal, Simple Shopping Cart actually got me to receive buyers and sellers Paypal notification and buyers and senders confirmation from the site itself, but I received an email from Paypal:

“Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

    https://mysite.com/ipn/

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account. “

The mentioned IPN page was automatically set up by an other plugin.

Once I enable IPN in Paypal I need to give an url. So I am stuck and not sure where or what setting I need to fix.

    Any help is appreciated

    hey mbrsolution,

I checked the link, and confirmed my settings according to the requirements, all was set correctly, but I am still getting the error email from Paypal, when I disable the IPN setting I am not getting the the confirmation from my site.

I will try to call paypal and see what the issue is, cause everything works fine with the settings as required in the link you sent, but Papayal sees an issue

I will update here on the outcome

    Thanks

Hi momofmedo I am happy to hear everything is okay now. Pity that PayPal did not share with you what the problem was.

If your issue is resolved can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Hi,

I have a similar problem as momofmedo got the following email from PayPal:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications
(IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

    https://www.mysite.com/site/?simple_cart_ipn=1

I have my wordpress installation in a subdirectory eg. https://www.mysite.com/site/ and I have IPN turned on at PayPal with this address https://www.mysite.com I also have .htaccess directing the website to https://www.mysite.com

I’ve done a test add to cart and on checkout right clicked the button and inspected the button element in Google Chrome.

One of the button fields was as follows:

    <input type="hidden" name="notify_url" value="https://www.www.mysite.com/site/?simple_cart_ipn=1">

The problem is WordPress Simple Paypal Shopping Cart is not picking up on the .htaccess redirect where it should make the notify_url: https://www.www.mysite.com/?simple_cart_ipn=

I hope I’m making sense and is there a solution?

    Thanks
