Hello, I am using paid member subscription. I setup everything as my guides described, putting the API Username and Password into the Plugin-forms and copied the correct IPN adress into my business paypal account. When I tried it the first time my subscription worked fine and the payment was processed on my site.
However now users are charged by paypal and redirected on my page, but the payment is not processed anymore. My site is currently in maintenance mode, which i suspected to be an issue, however after turning it off the payments still dont work. I would be happy for any tips or directions to fix these issues ??

I found out that repeating payments work without any issue. (My very first payment was a one time payment and did also work) However one time payments do still not work.

    Hi @pluginmapper,

    1. Could you please go to your site’s Dashboard -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins -> and send a full screenshot with everything you have installed related to Paid Member Subscriptions (make sure the plugin version can be seen)?
    2. Could you please go to your PayPal Account -> Account settings -> Website payments -> Website preferences -> Encrypted website payments -> and make sure this setting is turned OFF? You can read more about this here. After turning off this setting, you can do another test to see if it’s working correctly.
    3. Could you please provide the URL of the page where you have the Registration form (where you encounter this issue)?

You can use a site like https://snipboard.io/ to share the screenshots.

Hi, thank you for your response. I have only the main plugin in use for paid member subscription (see Upload and share screenshots and images – print screen online | Snipboard.io).
Another thing I noticed, i marked a subscription active to some users as inactive inbetween the working and notw roking of the payments. Could this have caused an issue?

As for the encrypted website payments, I made sure they were switched off before writing this post and testing it, which did not cause a change in behavior.

Unfortunately I cant share the link as the website is not public yet and behind a page of the maintenance plugin (stripe payments work and recurring payments via paypal, but not one-time-payment subscriptions) and therefore not accesible for users. Additionaly I am not allowed to share the link publicly as of now. Is there another way to give you the necessary information?

    Hi @pluginmapper,

But now if you go to Paid Member Subscriptions -> Subscription Plans -> is that subscription plan Active?

    Hi @alexandrubodea

No this specific plan is labeled as inactive, but I noticed that when I save a current or new subscription, the changes I made are saved but the “last edited” date of the subscription does not update and I get a red banner on the top of the page with the number “6” indicating some error/issues i think

Putting a subscription plan on the “Inactive” status will remove that subscription plan from the PMS forms (like the Registration form, Change form, etc). The only situation in which this doesn’t affect the members is for the members who purchased an?automatically recurring?subscription plan. Try putting the plan back on “Active” and see how it works.

As for the errors/red banners that appear when saving the plan, could you please take a screenshot from that page (make sure as much information from that page can be seen)?

I did change it back to active but the PayPal Issue still remains.

I made a screenshot of the page for you: Upload and share screenshots and images – print screen online | Snipboard.io

Another question which would solve this issue as well, I enabled Paypal in my Stripe account. However it does not appear when selecting a payment method (as google pay and apple pay on mobile do) Is there a way to fix this? This way I could still get Paypal payments but via the working stripe ipn endpoint

Unfortunately, that PayPal option does not work from Stripe.

Please briefly disable the Maintenance mode (from the whole site), clear your site and browser cache, save the subscription plan, then then try to test the payment with PayPal. Does it work correctly?

Also, it is generally advised to exclude all the pages that have our forms from caching, especially the page where you have the PMS Registration form.

    Best regards,
