Paypal IPN URL?

    I am working on setting up my sunshine checkout with paypal on my site. I have a business paypal account. Under the Checkout in sunshine I check the box where it says Enable payments via PayPal. It also says Please make sure you have enabled your PayPal IPN settings. The URL does not matter just as long as it is enabled.
    I made sure it is enabled in PayPal. My question is why doesn’t the URL matter? You have to enter something or you can’t enable it in Paypal. Where are the notifications going? And what is being sent out?

    Also, I tried to find some documentation on setting up the Checkout and I found very little. I was hoping there was something out there that would instruct me on testing it out to ensure it works before I go live. Does anyone know of anything like that?

  • I know you submitted a support ticket but I want to answer this for others who stumble upon it:

    It doesn’t matter because Sunshine sends a custom value which overwrites the value you put in PayPal’s site. When an order is completed, PayPal sends a notification back to your website saying the transaction was completed.
