    Hi,

I have connected my PayPal account following the steps in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/configuring-tribe-commerce-with-paypal/

I triple checked the settings to make sure they’re right.

However, the money isn’t showing up in my PayPal account. I look at the attendees list for the event and I see their information, but the Status is ‘Undefined’ and the Total is $0.00. (I have the tickets priced at $50). When I add the tickets and click through to the PayPal page the quantity and price are correct.

Not sure why it’s not working, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ashley

    Hi @astreck2,

Sorry to know that you are facing such an issue with Paypal.

It will be helpful if you can share the website link with tickets so that I can check that for you.

Also, if the attendee details are showing up then it means our plugin is working as expected. I assume there might be some issues with the IPN update from PayPal.

You may also follow the steps to troubleshoot PayPal IPN issues as discussed here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/configuring-tribe-commerce-with-paypal/#Troubleshooting_PayPal_Issues

You should also enable debugging in WordPress and share the error log with us so that we can identify if there are any other errors that might cause such an issue.

Here is the link with the tickets: https://mainlandcitycentre.com/events/sol-flair-tailgate-concert/

    I’ll try that debugging article.

I tried the debugging steps – didn’t work.

I also noticed when I try clicking on the Attendees for a specific event I get this error on the page: “Cannot load tickets-attendees.”

    Hi again,

I went through the process on your site, and got to the PayPal site ok, with everything looking as expected. From the description of your problem, it sounds like it’s just not showing the correct information in the event’s “orders” tab page in the admin? Can you clarify that you see the correct amounts from the PayPal side of things?

If you look at your IPN history in PayPal, do you see the notifications related to these orders?

    https://developer.paypal.com/docs/ipn/integration-guide/IPNOperations/

When completing an order, does the user get redirected to the “Success” page that is set in the settings?

Do the “confirmation” and “ticket” emails get sent out? You can verify this by installing an “email logging” plugin, and inspecting the log after a purchase is made.

Do you have any sort of security plugin installed that might be limiting the ability for PayPal to connect to your site?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi,

Yes I can get to the PayPal page fine too and submit payment. The issue is that the money isn’t showing up in my PayPal account – like you mentioned.

Unfortuantley for the PayPal IPN history page I’m getting this error “Instant Payment Notification (IPN) history
    Feature Not Available
Sorry, this feature is currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Yes the Success page redirects correctly.

    No security plugins installed.

I will test to see if the ‘confirmation’ ticket emails goes through.

Yes I do get the confirmation email.

    Hi again,

I would reach out to the PayPal folks for more assistance with this. If the checkout process goes as expected and the attendees are being generated on your site, it sounds like things are working correctly in our plugins. Once the user gets to the PayPal site, things on that end are controlled by PayPal. If you don’t see anything in the PayPal IPN history, it sounds like there might be an issue with your account setup. They should be able to tell you what happened after the order was completed.

    Best,
    Sky

Its been a while now since this ticket had a response. I’ll go ahead and mark it as resolved but please feel free to open a new one if you still need assistance.
