Paypal link hangs (((slows down load time – a lot))) on all product pages!!!

    Hi Support,

    Why on earth do you need to load the PayPal link on every product page, when the customer has not even clicked the Add to Cart button?

    This is incredibly stupid as the PayPal link is very slow connecting to PayPal and slows down every product page.

    Please only load the PayPal link in the shopping cart or checkout.

    Why would the scripts be loaded on the single product page only after the buyer clicks the button? Can you elaborate?

    The PayPal scripts are loaded only on all pages with enabled smart buttons. If the button is enabled on the single product page, the scripts will be loaded for every product page.
    Also, when the button for the Mini Cart is enabled, the scripts will be loaded on all non-Checkout pages of the site.
    Disabling the Mini Cart button prevents the scripts from being loaded on the above-mentioned pages: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#faq-paypal-scripts-on-every-page

    If you want to only load the PayPal scripts on the Cart and Checkout pages, then the way to achieve this is to enable only these two pages in the plugin settings.

    Perfect! Worked!

    I don’t use Mini Cart, but it was enabled. So, just disabling it, as you indicated, fixed the problem.
