I have installed Stripe and Paypal Gateway, both from Woocommerce. And i have installed Woocommerce Subscriptions. Stripe works perfectly. Paypal for single products as well. But for the subscriptions, the Paypal button is there but pressing the button is just surrounding it with a purple line and the payment process is not going forward. I liked the paypal subscriptions correctly for each product. Any hint what the problem could be?

    Hello @hypnosetherapie

The PayPal button for subscriptions is grayed out or not present at all? From what I can see, our plugin isn’t currently enabled on your site. Please make sure to enable it.

To further analyze this, we would require a full system report. You can copy the log files from here:
    – WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

Please provide those log entries on our?PrivateBin. After uploading, paste here the link, so we can review them in detail.

Once we have a clearer picture of your system’s state and the specific circumstances, we can guide you better on how to resolve the issue.

    Hi Kristian
The Payment Gateway Paypal is now activated again.
For Subscription Payments, the Paypal Button is there. But clicking on it, it gets outlined in purple color and nothing happens. The payment process / pop up does not open.

    Hello @hypnosetherapie

Thanks for activating the plugin, I checked the console and we found the reason for this behaviour.

This error typically occurs when the “Manual Renewals” option in WooCommerce settings is checked. Currently, PayPal Subscriptions do not work in conjunction with Manual Renewals. To temporary resolve this issue, please navigate to your WooCommerce settings and uncheck the “Manual Renewals” option. This should allow the PayPal Payments plugin to function correctly with subscription-based products.

You can find this setting at WooCommerce -> Settings -> Subscriptions

PR for this issue can be found here. I would like to assure this problem will be addressed with the release of the official version 2.60. A release candidate version will be available in the coming days at?https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases, where you will be able to download this version.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or if there’s anything else I can assist you with.

    Kind Regards,
    Krystian
