Paypal order not reducing stock

    Hi guys,

    we use PayPal standard payment in our shop (besides Stripe and direct money transfer).

    While it is working for the other payments, PayPal does not reduce stock upon capturing. We receive IPN messages (so it moves from waiting for payment –> processing) but the stock is not touched.

    I suppose, this is a malfunction because it (at least in my eyes) makes no sense at all.

    Any clue, how to track this down?

    PS: I found some similar issues from a few years back but none with a comprehensive solution (except some additional filters in functions.php, which I want to avoid in case the observed behaviour can be fixed the proper way)

    Guys,

    I tracked it down… it worked until update to WooCommerce 4.9.0.

    All orders before the update reduced the stock automatically, after the update (did it on 13th), the stock does not get reduced.

    Was an issue with a different plugin
