PayPal Package Tracking Critical Error

Issue was reported on version 2.7.1, upgraded to 2.8 and issue persisted.

The issue reported in the linked thread there has been resolved in version 2.8.0. However, the problem you’re currently experiencing has not been fixed yet, but it also wasn’t present in version 2.7.1.

However, we have successfully reproduced the problem on our end as well. I can confirm that currently, the best immediate solution is to downgrade to a previous version 2.7.1 which you can download from this link:?https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases/tag/2.7.1

Meanwhile, I created an issue for this problem to be analyzed further by our developers. If a fix becomes available for this issue, I will share it here.

Update:

Please downgrade to version 2.7.0 instead of 2.7.1, as it turns out that 2.7.0 is not affected by the issue. I apologize for initially stating otherwise; I just discovered that 2.7.1 is also affected, which I was not aware of before.

I don’t have any confirmation yet, but given the number of reports, it’s likely to be fixed in version 2.8.1. I’ll keep updating this thread with any new information.

This issue should be resolved in version 2.8.1, which we released a few hours ago. You can update the plugin via your WordPress dashboard, or download it directly from: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases/tag/2.8.1.
