I’ll test it here and let you know

I created a test event, added paypal and mollie to it and everything seems to be working just fine:

The price is >0 I hope? And are your paypal settings still ok? Is it just the button not showing, but for the rest they are shown the payment page?

I went on and filled in your submit form, completed captcha, and it worked fine as it should. I was then presented with Pay via Paypal button.

I have re-uploaded my backup EME plugin folder from 2 days ago and paypal button is working again.

So the “old” version is working? Just a quick remark: make sure to clear your browser cache, it might be related.
Also: the version on my site is the latest released version, I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work. What version are you on now?
A demo would be nice (the not-working kind), so I can test from my end then.

I am in the process of moving my site over to a new host. I will backup my site once migrated and then upgrade the plugin to see if the problem occurs again and update you Frankie.

PS is there a quick easy way to redirect booking form straight to Paypal once completed?

PPS How can someone (who abandons Paypal payment before paying), pay at a later date? Is there a way of sending their paypal link via pending email to user and if they pay by link will it automatically register as if they completed this in the normal steps?

For paypal redirection, see the FAQ: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?page_id=195 (search for “How to redirect automatically to paypal after successful booking’)
For the payment link, see the doc on rsvp mails: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?cat=27 (search for ‘#_PAYMENT_URL’)

I updated my plugin to latest version and paypal button is back after I migrated to new host!

    Hi there

I’m having a similar problem. I had EME set up on https://favershamsociety.info and payment by Paypal was working. I set it up on https://tastefaversham.org and couldn’t get Paypal to work so I cross-checked against my settings on the first site and found that was no longer working. I rolled back the plug-ins to v 1.6.17 but it’s made no difference. I’d appreciate your advice please?

    Many thanks

It might be that paypal detected that you used 2 sites for your button. You should check with them (also: in your paypal settings no referrer must be set).

Thanks for your prompt response. I deactivated EME on one site (TasteFaversham) but still no Paypal function on the other site I’m afraid. I can’t see any option in settings relating to a referrer …?! Also, on TasteFaversham site I linked to a Paypal button from media library and it is set to use Paypal sandbox at present. Does any of this help identify a possible cause?!

Not really. Are you using button encryption? Did you check your webserver logfiles for hints? Maybe a javascript error somewhere too, so check also your browser console for errors.

    Hi there …

    Not using button encryption
Webserver error log is empty (i.e. no errors at all on installation)
    Not showing javascript errors

This is strange because it was working fine on favershamsociety.info and then suddenly the Paypal button disappeared!

You mentioned earlier about using two sites. As I said, I deactivated EME on the other site but would it help if I uninstalled it completely (which I’d rather not do as I set up three events already)

    Thanks!

The only reason the paypal button would not show up is if the call to the paypal function “get_button” would fail for some reason, which in the case of non-encryption is pretty much impossible.
Do you have a test-event? Also (and I’m not saying it will help, but it might) a temporary admin account might be useful.

    Hi Franky

I’ve set up a user account for you but I don’t think it’s wise for me to post the details on here?! Is there a way of getting an email address to me securely so that I can email the details to you?
