My custom WordPress theme has been built from the ground up by me.

It’s been difficult to get the Checkout page to load the required scripts to finally get the PayPal Smart Buttons to show up.

    Great! I did it!

But now, after going through the PayPal steps to complete checkout, and right when the Order should be placed and say SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT, I get an error,

If I switch theme to a pre-built theme like storefront then use the same PayPal Smart Buttons and the same debit card, it works and redirects me to this page:

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @yebbaproductions

While the buttons appear to be loading on your Checkout page, I am getting a different error when clicking the button: Could not validate nonce.

So I’m not even getting to the PayPal popup. In any case, this error and the one you describe could happen for various reasons and require more in-depth troubleshooting of your active theme if you cannot reproduce the behavior with the Storefront theme or a default WordPress theme.

That being said, I’m afraid custom theme development is not something we can actively assist you with. But the developer community in the WooCommerce Community Slack may be able to provide more guidance with issues you are facing during developing for WooCommerce or first party extensions.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
