    According to the WooCommerce support pages, I’ll need (or they highly recommend) the Paypal Payments plugin to process Paypal transactions.

    The plugin has a 1.5 star rating, and I read almost nothing but complaints about vague errors that transactions can’t be completed.

    Just looking for some general advice so that I can avoid these issues. Is this an actual problem with the plugin? Or user error? In either case, how can I avoid these headaches? Are there steps I can take to ensure everything is working smoothly? Is there another/better plugin for Paypal that integrates with WooCommerce?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Already not off to a good start. All I’ve done is install the plugin, and on my WooCommerce dashboard I’m seeing an error message that says “WooCommerce PayPal Payments requires WooCommerce to be installed and active. You can download WooCommerce here.” and no Paypal options are shown in the Payments settings page.

    And yes, my WooCommerce plugin is active. Wouldn’t it have to be in order to see this error message in the first place? The irony.

    Thanks Margaret. I’ll post on the plugin support pages. While you’re here, any ideas regarding the error I mentioned above? It seems the plugin is not recognizing that WooCommerce is installed and active.

    In order to check your configuration and assist you further, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
