Paypal Pending payments, no funds on the account

    But you mention that the donation IS present in PayPal, but it’s marked as Pending in PayPal. Let me clarify a few things regarding that:
    1) Give cannot force the pending donation in paypal to go through. Marking it as “complete” in Give does not trigger the donation, it only changes the status in Give alone.

    2) You should contact PayPal as to why that donation is still pending, but often it’s because of the method of payment. Sometimes if a payment is done with an echeck or other form of donation it takes several days for payPal to clear those donations. So it will stay in Pending status for quite a while.

    3) If that’s the case with your donation, it’s possible it will finally switch to Complete, but it won’t send the IPN to your website, so you’ll still have to change the status to Complete manually.

    These are generally just quirks of dealing with PayPal Standard.
