    Dear WooCommerce Support,

    Since the most recent plugin update to version 1.6.17, we are experiencing the following issue.

    On the checkout page, when choosing the PayPal payment option, clicking to agree the Terms and clicking on the PayPal button, the PayPal popup appears for a second and then disappears — without further action happening on the checkout page whatsoever. As a result, the customer cannot complete the PayPal checkout.

    This happens regardless of which browser is being used.
    It happens with the Billing as well as the Login type of landing page.
    We even tried deactivating/activating the plugin, deleting/re-installing & activating the plugin — to no avail.

    We’re using:
    WooCommerce 3.7
    WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway 1.6.17
    WordPress 5.2.2

    Not sure which information you need to solve this. The logs state the following for:
    [LOCALE] => de_DE
    [TIMESTAMP] => 2019-08-19T09:23:19Z
    [ACK] => Success
    [VERSION] => 120.0

    We would be very grateful to get this resolved ASAP.

    Thanks!

    Hi there!

    When you say:

    >This happens regardless of which browser is being used.
    It happens with the Billing as well as the Login type of landing page.
    We even tried deactivating/activating the plugin, deleting/re-installing & activating the plugin — to no avail.

    Can you confirm that you turned off EVERY plugin except for WooCommerce and PayPal and the issue still happened (it’s important to turn off every plugin at the same time).

    Also, are you setting up PayPal for the first time, or did this work successfully for you previously?

    What is the URL for your site?

    Thank you, Melinda.

    It seems as though I just found the cause for this glitch. After disabling the Rate Limiting feature in the Wordfence plugin, the PayPal payment popup does show up now (just like before the plugin update). As a result, one can proceed with a PayPal payment again.

    Thanks again!

    @melindahelt I have the same issue. The website is enjoycanvas.com

    One thing i noticed that everytime i clear the cache on wordpress, paypal express checkout works fine. The site is using wp rocket plugin.

    @oposum123 Is your website working now?

    TOPPIC RENEW:

    There are now a lot of reports that the button is NOT working if the site is cached.

    I use WP_rocket and all sites were the checkout is implemented and cached the button will not work propably.

    Is there a solution? i found this git for another cacheing plugin.
