• Hi,

    I am repeatedly having problems with our checkout page. It seems that customers are having to try multiple times to be able to checkpout via paypal, leaving multiple pending orders on their account.

    Has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you fix it. I’ve repeatedly checked my IPN settings but still not had any luck

  • What errors are people getting when they get to the PayPal website? Can you provide your URL so I can take a look?

    Hi,

    sorry I didn’t see your reply.
    They are getting a return to merchant error.
    I have contacted paypal and they have said they have made changes to their checkout and something will need to be updated through the plugin, they asked me to refer you to this page.

    In order to figure this out, I am going to need to recreate the issue. I have tried testing all kinds of scenarios (shipping method) and could not reproduce this problem. We also have thousands of people using Sunshine and nobody else has mentioned this issue.

    Can you provide your URL? I need to able to access a gallery to test, so if all your galleries are password protected make a test gallery that is publicly available.

    This is not happening for all of my customers and seems sporadic however the Paypal document does state that this can be down to a number of different variations due to different products.

    However it has so far led to around £150 of orders being unable to be paid and customers then not returning, or having to be followed up and card payments taken over the phone.

    JUst as an aside to let you into the extent of the problem I am having, we have had sunshine now since February. In that time we have 38 completed orders, and I have 24 sitting in my trash as these people were unabl to purchase multiple times before either their payment went through or I chased them up.

    I can’t even reproduce the problem on your site. I will need an explanation of the steps taken to have this problem occur. I can’t do anything until I can reproduce the problem.

    Usually it’s an order for products of different sizes or for multiple products of the same size.

    One of the most recent Woocommerce update change log details about update to PayPal payment gateway and we’ve have no problems on our site that runs through there.

    I’m not looking to argue that you can’t reproduce the issue at your end. I’m simply passing in the problem i have had with multiple customers, and what PayPal have said to me about the above documents that I linked to.

    Can you provide as much detail as possible that would allow me to recreate the issue on your site?

    Exact images/products added to cart
    Shipping method selected
    All fields on checkout
