As with others on here, client is experiencing problems when trying to process a refund.

    Error message on screen is
“An error occurred while attempting to create the refund using the payment gateway API.”

    Error message in log is
ERROR Refund failed: No country given for address.

The country is given for the address, and we have tried with 1.7.0 as per other advice before being asked to create a new thread.

    Hi @puzz1ed1,

There have been some reports about this error following the 1.8.0 update.
But the issue does persist for you after the downgrade to 1.7.0 as well, do I understand that right? A few more questions:
And have you tried resubscribing the webhooks while 1.7.1 or newer is installed?
Does the WooCommerce order actually contain a country or is this information not collected?
    Thank you!
We haven’t been able to reproduce it yet, but we are looking into it.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

I’ve just done the resubscribe thing, and checked the postmeta db table – country code is set as GB on all orders.

Hi. We get the same error when trying to process a refund.
An error occurred while attempting to create the refund using the payment gateway API.

    @whatisglutathione I had the following response yesterday…

The issue you are encountering is a known issue to us and we have a bug open for this. Last week I reviewed some reports and it seems that this might not have been caused by the plugin, but possibly by the server side of PayPal, since the issue occurs in 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8 (as far as we tested).

We have asked PayPal to take a look into this, and are pending their response. I have linked this thread to the bug, so you should get an update when we have a fix or workaround available for you.

Our developers & partners at PayPal are looking into this issue and we haven’t gotten any feedback yet. But we will report back as soon as we have new information.

    Kind regards,
