    Customer tries to order, several times, does not go through.

    Since December, half of my orders make it and the other half turn into junk because of some kind of problem, somewhere.

    Pending payment in paypal is what is showing in woocommerce.

    Paypal keeps giving me the run around, countless calls to support and hours wasted, blaming my customers lack of computer skills, which is not the case.

    Paypal said today, who is your host? Started to question and insinuate it’s my host’s problem.

    I told the lady, My HOST is not going to be causing errors for tons of orders, resulting in payment pending in woocommerce, and paypal not seeing anything at all, zero.

    Somewhere, there is a commmunication breakdown. What is causing it?

    this lady today, Megan, says it was WOOCOMMERCE.

    Well, you have to be a PAYING CUSTOMER to get support for thier FREE PRODUCT. That’s [ profanity redacted ]

    So, anyone else out there with this problem?

    Anyone have ideas to troubleshoot woocommerce?

    Everything is up to date and current, all requirements met, can’t solve this, and I am convinced it’s PayPal, but am getting nowhere with them. thought I’d give this woocommerce possibility a shot.

    Looking forward to a solution, while half of my customers fail to complete an order and get upset.

    Well the error is on PayPals site, and orders have incremental ids. Unless the ids have been reset somehow (e.g new order system or new WP install) they wouldn’t overlap. That’s assuming nothing in your store is changing order ids (plugin).

    You said new email address, but if that’s just a new address on an existing PayPal account the order ids could still conflict.

    Try my earlier workaround and see if you can reproduce the error. Prefix, or disable the invoice ID check in the account. Neither will break anything so it’s safe to adjust.

    In addition, after payment, if the order is pending WC side that’s a separate problem with IPN so dupe invoice ID would be expected. From your messages it sounds like no payment is made so I don’t think this is the issue. Just saying.

    I used to think it was my customers at first, after about 3 or 4 times, I knew something was wrong.

    Paypal’s “tech support department” which is called service and site suport, is totally imcompetent. Talked to nearly 8 different techs and they all have a different answer that pretty much ends the call and has no solution.

    well it’s not going to hurt anything, like you say it’s safe, to change the order id prefix, I’ll do that and rule it out.

    the new email was also a new paypal together with new website using woocommerce for thte first time all together.

    I’ll try your other suggestiongs as well and see what I can come up with.

    I changed the order ID prefix and the first 2 times there was no more error.

    Yay, I think we can check this one off the list.

    Have NO idea why this occurred, the order numbers are sequential from day one with this wordpress/woocommerce/paypal (all brand new at the same time, not used with others).

    I still think it’s in the PayPal side somewhere, MAYBE they changed something in the history logs which corrupted the ability of the website to function properly.

    I’ve had banks swap my personal information with other customers information more than once. The bank did it, not intentionally, but somehow these big databases get jumbled and juggled.

    PayPal is definitely no exception to that and I’d support this accusation based on the fact that everything was new, there wasn’t anything to overlap order numbers on my side.

    Off to the next item on the list….

    The returning customer login does not remember anyone.

    i have encountered same problem and i received a few successful orders and a few pending orders, i tried to place a test order and This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website and try again, please help with this

    I have a lots of unusual pending orders in December too. The transaction is always pending after many days.

    Hi.all orders still pending.Paypal complete but woocommerce still pending.Only work fine in wordpress 4.6.2
    If update in new version wordpress still pending orders.I have try all methonds but no help.Anyone to help please?
