PayPal Standard and GiveWP

On our GiveWP plugin page, I noticed that PayPal Standard is going to be deprecated and we should switch to PayPal Donations. I tried to do that using our existing account but ran into problems. The first time I tried, even though I said I was using an existing business account, at the end it asked me about creating a new account. I did not want to do that, so I closed the window. On subsequent tries, it indicated that I needed to edit the info about our executive, but the Edit link did not work. I called the PayPal phone number displayed on the screen, but that sent me into a messaging system.

The Donate button on our website currently works fine. I was able to successfully donate using the PayPal option and the Credit/Debit Card option. However, I’m concerned about this not working in the future. I don’t know when the deprecation will take effect, and I don’t know how to resolve the problem I’m having in switching to PayPal Donations. Any assistance would be most welcomed!
