PayPal Standard payment works in Sandbox but not in Live environment

    Hi,

    I am working on integrating PayPal Standard with my site. Payment works fine in Sandbox environment but in Live environment after entering the card information on PayPal page I see the error :
    “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment”

    I contacted PayPal team and they said my account is in good standing and is enabled to send and receive international payments. They said the issue is with the integration.

    Can you please advise what could be wrong ?

    Hi @brijeshk89,

    The first thing I would suggest double-checking is that you’ve configured all of the correct details in the Paypal settings to be valid for your Live PayPal account like your email addresses etc.

    Within the PayPal settings on WooCommerce, there is also a setting to enable debug logging. I’d suggest enabling that and attempting to perform a test transaction in Live mode.

    Once you’ve performed that test transaction navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and look to see if any Paypal logs have been generated. If some logs have been generated look at the content of those as they may hold some information which can help explain why you’re receiving the message of
    “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment from PayPal.

    Thank you for the response.

    I had also opened a support ticket with you guys and I received a quick response.

    They helped me find the cause of the issue and configure PayPal.

    My site works fine now and ready to accept payments.

    For reference for other users facing the same issue :
    I was using PayPal Standard and it requires users to make the payment with PayPal account only. They cannot pay via Credit/Debit Card directly (even on PayPal).

    I had the option in PayPal settings enabled which showed the option to pay with Credit/Debit Card directly without a PayPal account hence that option was displayed on the PayPal payment page.
