Paypal Subscribe Options.

  • Hey guys, My head is so sore from thinking about how i can do this. And its so hard to explain, So ill try my best.

    Im working on a gaming website for a client, And ive hit a wall.
    He wants about 3 donation options, The way i see it is 3 images with text on the image displaying what they are, and by clicking the image or a buy button you can fill in the details like your name and blah blah blah. and then it will redirect you to the paypal payment page.

    The closest i have come to this is using PayPals html code, which is a drop down of all the subscription amounts and you can select what you want, But he doesn’t want this. He wants to be able to click a buy button and fill in your name and steam ID and then pay for it.

    So to simplify a little more,

    Option 1. $5 per month
    Option 2. $20 per month
    Option 3. $30 Per month

    And not have all these in a drop down, But instead a ready to click buy button.

    Can someone please explain to me how i can do this?

  • You can do this with three separate PayPal buttons. If he doesn’t want three separate buttons, then you’ll have to set up PayPal to leave the payment amount blank and just trust your users to enter the correct amount. This is more of a PayPal issue than a WordPress issue.

    You need to go into PayPal and create three separate buttons, one for each amount. It seems laborious, but once you’ve created the first, PayPal has an option to let you create another button based on the first. You’ll only need to change the amount.

    You’ll end up with three different pieces of code that you will have to add to your site.

    Could use a price table to display options on what you get for your money and how much and have each link sepeatly to your paypal link or html code. This would look more proffesional and should blow his sock off lol.

    1. User see’s price table and what they get for there money in a smart looking way.

    2. User clicks option.

    3. User goes to paypal payment to pay then hey presto!
