PayPal: The shipping address provided by the merchant is invalid

  • Since November, my client’s website has been having customers rejected by PayPal with this message:

    Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the mailing address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be shipped to that address.

    To make PayPal a little less fussy, I have changed the shipping method for PayPal to this – PayPal prompt for an address, but do not require one – instead of PayPal prompt for an address, and require one. This has not helped.

    Has anybody found a cause for this or a way around it?

    Please, try to change the setting “PayPal prompt for shipping address” in Paypal settings.
