    Hey folks

    Sorry to add to the chorus of PayPal related issues, but here we are.

    Getting the “Error processing your donation. Please contact the administrator” message with PayPal when trying to put a donation in.

    I read through the other posts here and you had mentioned about sending the logs from Donations -> Tools -> Logs, but really weirdly there’s nothing logged from these attempts. It’s as if they’ve never happened.

    I also noted you suggested disabling caching & minification on the impacted pages: this microsite has no caching / minification.

    In the browser console when a donation fails, I’m met with an error under the “create_order_error” heading with the error:

    err: "The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation."

    Any input you could provide would be appreciated.

    Glad you reached out.
    I tested your form and I got the same error message.

    In the broser console I get this error:
    “The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation.”

    It’s one of those generic error messages PayPal throws that provide no clues as to what the problem really is.

    It could be something as simple as a missing Donation Success page.
    Go to Donations -> Settings -> General, and make sure you have selected “Success Page.”

    Another reason for this to happen is that there’s some sort of restriction on your PayPal account and you need to reach out to them for clarification.

    Hey Rick;

    Looks like the pages / settings are all good – they haven’t changed since this had been working previously. The client reports that there’s no notices or anything showing in the PayPal account, but I’ll ask them to reach out re: any restrictions or problems.

    Mind if we leave the thread open in case something else comes up on either of our ends?
