Hi folks, been using the plugin for a few months now and it works great.

However PayPal (genuine emails) keep emailing to say that the plugin is out of date, telling me to “update my Woocommerce extension” as the code used is no longer supported – and that we should update to offer “pay in 3, global payment methods, and get the latest features”.

Whilst I’m not really interested in the latest features (what we have works fine!) I’m concerned that we’re getting the “this plugin is out of date” email.

    Hi @painefreecrafts,

Greetings from WebToffee support. Thanks for contacting us on this forum.

We are not aware of any emails from PayPal asking users to “update the WooCommerce extensions”. Are you sure that the emails are sent by PayPal itself? The current version of the PayPal Express Checkout plugin support the Pay in 3 option by default.
If you still receive these emails, please reach out to PayPal support through their official website: PayPal Help Centre

As mentioned on the PayPal support page, don’t reply, open links or download any attachments.

Received a?suspicious email, message or invoice? Don’t reply, open links, download attachments, or call any listed phone numbers. We’ll never ask for your PayPal password or financial details by email or message, or over the phone. Forward suspicious messages to?[email protected]?and then delete them.

    hi
Yes, they’re absolutely genuine emails (I am extremely careful!). And when I log in to PayPal itself directly I also get the warning message that my integration is out of date and needs amending. Clearly there’s some issue between the plugin and Paypal.
