    Hello.
Till yesterday we had a functional and running paypal plugin.
Since today we have uncompleted / failed orders with 553 status message.
If you click the Buy with Paypal Button the Authorisation Popup opens and closes again after a second. Even the Sandboy Testing does not work due to the incapability of sending auth code.

Everything in the wordpress system is up to date.

    What is going wrong?
    Cheers Massimo

p.s. due to several negative reviews of version 2.3.1 and 2.4.0 we downgrade to 2.2.2 – unfortunately without any effects – thats just for your info.

    Hello @mpavese

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

So far we have only got this issue reported by you (we currently have 165k download of version 2.4.0), so we would expect that there is a situation present on your site that is causing this problem. We did see a similar looking issue with the rc1 release of version 2.4.0, but we resolved this, so please be sure that you have the official release installed. I have verified that this fix was included.

It sounds like this issue occurred after the update to 2.4.0, but that reverting to older versions did not resolve the issue. I would think there might be a caching issue on your site, so please see if you can clear this.

If that does not help, you may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists. Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts.

If nothing shows any indicator of the possible cause, we would like to take a look at your system report, logs and possibly order notes to see if we can identify the cause. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well).

    Pending your response.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hello Joost.
I updated to 2.4.0 again. Weird, but now PP Payments are working again. The only bug remaining is that the quickcheck out buttons on the product page are inactive (grey) until a product is added to basket. if you then return to the product page the quickcheckout butts are active (yellow) and everything is fine… can you visit the website and check yourself?

    Thank you. Massimo

    Hello @mpavese

That is good to hear, however, this issue that you are seeing now, is not something we have already seen. I first thought the issue was caused by the fact that the product page, is on the home page, but I see that the same issue is occurring in the (sub) product page, so that doesn’t look like the cause of the problem.

In order to troubleshoot this, I would suggest you to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists. Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts.

If you want us to take a closer look at this, you would need to provide us with more details, like the system report and possibly other items, so you probably would want to open a private ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/ (please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well).

Let me know if the conflict testing gets you any indicator of what is causing this.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

Hello Joost. I’m back – the theme support also asked me to test with storelocator. Unfortunately the bug persists even with storelocator so that they throw the ball back to you. to be sincere i have no more idea to solve.
would you mind that your developers have a look at the backend? I would write you a private ticket with credentials und this threadlink…

    Thanks. Massimo

    Hello @mpavese

too bad, your investigation did not get you any leads to what is causing this issue on your site. Unfortunately the .org platform does not condone exchanging access details with us, we could still ask you to open a private engagement, so we can easier exchange details like the system report, logs and order notes, so we can take a closer look.

Be sure not to share any access details on this forum, because the moderators will take action on this.

Please let me know when/if you have opened this private thread, so we can take another look there.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hi there,

we have the same error appearing since September 25th.
But it only happens sometimes. What can we do?

When we send a customer who’s payment failed earlier the link to the payment page, it works.
