• Hi Roland,

Yesterday, I purchased and installed many of your add-ons, but I’ve been using the combo-multisearch add-on for quite a while. After working on my site for most of the day, I noticed a couple of issues that popped up with the combo-multi search add-on.

    1. The search function is no longer working. The page displays fine when first loading, including the records list and search fields, but does not display any search results.

    2. The next page forward and backward buttons at the bottom of the search page produce the following error:

“This site can’t be reached higher-octave.comundefined’s server IP address could not be found.
    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN”

However, if I select one of the numbered page buttons, those work fine.

The search function was working fine until yesterday, but I did so much with the site, including PDB add-ons & updates, that I’m not sure if I broke something or one of the plug-ins caused a problem.

    I’m using the shortcode: [pdb_list template=multisearch]

As far as I know, all of my plugins are up to date. I disabled all of my plugins except PDB & combo-multisearch. No help. I’m running WP 5.0.1. It can not currently be updated to the latest for other reasons, but if that is needed, I will have to deal with some other conflicts.

I’m hosted on GoDaddy, PHP 7.2 (recently updated).

I’ve tried different themes. No help.

    Thanx in advance,

    Lance

The fundamental problem is that php sessions are not working. I’m assuming you are using the latest version of Participants Database, if you not you need to update.

You can try checking the “Use Alternate Session Method” setting under the advanced tab.

Also, you can ask your web host if there is a problem with php sessions.

The error you’re getting with the pagination sounds spurious…that is a DNS error, wouldn’t have anything to do with the plugin directly.
